With the latest version of Drafts, you could certainly do it your way connecting Drafts directly to DropBox (after defining the pathway to your nvALT Folder).

I get the your use of Drafts and I’m already using it. I was just wondering why you run it through “Notesy” to get Draft entries to Dropbox; when, as you say, you don’t use Notesy for anything else but as a bridge to Dropbox.
It just seems that Drafts will take it straight to Dropbox itself.

As I mention in the previous comment--I use Drafts for everything, thus minimizing the thought that goes into capturing the information. It works well for me, but your suggestion might work equally well for you.

I use Drafts to minimize prospective memory errors. (Have you ever found yourself searching for an app--and forgetting what you originally wanted to do? I certainly have).

I use Drafts to capture everything and thus don't need to think about what app I want to launch-I just open Drafts and start typing. Only when I'm done capturing my thought do I put any cognitive energy into what I'll do with the information. My method is only a suggestion--and is adaptable to your personal preference.

Thanks for your workflow ideas. Concerning Drafts… I see that it has a send to “Send to Dropbox” in the action options. Why would your need to go through Notesy?

I’m intrigued, since OmniFocus already runs my life, and this seems very efficient. However, there’s one thing I don’t understand: why do you use Drafts AND Notesy? In your article, you say “flexibility and compatibility with the utility Textexpander”, but my understanding is that Notesy works with Textexpander as well. Wouldn’t writing notes in Notesy instead save a step?
